RCCGaming Guidelines
Welcome to the Robotech Forums!
---------------------------------------
The Robotech forums were started by a group of online gaming friends who met on the Playstation.com forums and have spent many happy hours shooting each other and ramming each other off the road! The group was brought together to allow us to play with like minded people of a similar ability in password protected rooms and hence greatly enhance our online experience. As the group expanded and the formats that we play games on increased to included PC, XBox, XBox 360 etc. it became clear that we needed a new home and so these forums were established.
The Robotech Community Club is all about online gaming for fun and as such there are no membership requirements to join us in our games or on our forums. All we ask is that you are not a "Screaming Kid", play for fun and have good attitude. We still have a steady stream of new people joining us and welcome this. If you would like to join us in our games then please register for the forums and post a "Hello" and introduce yourself in the "General Chat" forum and come and play some games with us.
Forum Etiquette
------------------
While the Robotech forums are generally a friendly and self regulating place where required they are moderated by "Hawk Eye", this normaly amounts to doing nothing. "Hawk Eye" is also Admin for the forum.
Forum posts that are deliberately offensive to Race / Gender / Religion or sexuality are not tolerated on the Robotech forums. As the members of the Robotech forums are a close group of online friends forum chat will often take on a joke style, which is acceptable. Nothing posted on the forums is intended to or should offend members. Swearing on these forums is acceptable as long as it’s not directed aggressively at any particular person or group of people. If you have an issue with a particular post please either use the forum PM (Personal Message) system to contact the posting member directly and discuss, or use the PM system to contact the Moderator for that forum with a link to the post and your concern. The Forum Moderator will look into this for you. If after this you still have an issue with the forum content then this may not be the place for you.
Please see the Forum Rules below for more information.

Forum Rules
--------------
(It’s a shame we have to have them but we do)
To ensure the safe, legal and fun running of the forum we ask all members to abide by the following rules. While this has never happened, and hopefully never will, repeated breach of these rules may lead to eventual banning from the forum. The moderating team also reserve the right to ban members for reasons other than the below.
Although high forum usage is fine, spamming the forums will mostly likely cause you to be generally disliked amongst the rest of the community and even banned. Spamming means posting a high quantity of trivial or pointless posts, topics and polls on a forum – it can slow down the forums and will make it harder for other members to find interesting discussion topics. Try to keep your posts interesting and original and make sure your topic is posted in the most appropriate forum.
Please do not post entirely in txt- or l33t-speak as this will make your posts difficult for many people to understand. Likewise, posts written ENTIRELY IN CAPTIALS are hard to read and considered to be very rude by many people. Taking a bit of time over the use of English in your posts will help you express yourself more effectively and reduce the chances of a misunderstanding.
Don't post anything that is intended to be objectionable or offensive (i.e. racist, pornographic, sexist, obscene, profane, vulgar, derogatory, hateful, or threatening).
If you wish to promote your website, this is acceptable with 1 topic in the relevant forum or General Chat, and with a link in your Signature. Multiple topics will be removed.
Do not post anything that could be considered libelous or defamatory.
Do not post any copyright material on the Forum. Basically, this means that posting wholesale from published books, magazines, game guides etc. is a no no, as it could land you (and us) in trouble. The posting of links to other web sites is of course acceptable.
NEVER give out personal details such as your surname, postal address or phone number in the Forums, and keep your personally identifiable information private. This is for your own safety and protection as this information could easily be misused by other people browsing the Forums.
The Robotech Forums are run in English only, posts in any other languages may be removed.
If you break the rules of conduct, either intentionally or by accident, your post may be either edited or removed. Persistent or excessive misconduct may result in a temporary or even permanent suspension of your ability to post to the Forums.
And because these Rules can’t cover everything, we also reserve the right to remove any content or suspend your account without prior notice and at our discretion.
So there you have it…. come join us and have some fun both on the forums and on some great online games!
Thanks,
The Robotech’ers team
